Guidelines to parents/guardians

KRISHNA PUBLIC SCHOOL is a progressive and upgrowing institution. In – order to realise the highest ideal of education , to nurture the sterling qualities of an all – rounded personality and to inculcate healthy competition with maintenance of individual identities under perfect care without constraining inherent qualities, we at KPS need your co-operation with all your resources (Physical, Social and Emotional) in this, to help us in achieving our goals.

1. Parents must regularly visit school’s website to be updated with all the necessary information of the school’s activities. They can also respond or give their feedback through SMS facility, provided by the school.
2. Any communication made by the Parent/Guardian should be addressed to the Principal through the Class Teacher and all correspondence from the school to the parents will be by order of the Principal.
3. Students are advised not to bring valuable articles. School shall not undertake any responsibility for the loss.
4. Parents are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their child’s progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and take interest in their child’s work. They should check the almanac every day and note the homework and other instructions given. They are advised to check the bags of their wards to see if any circular/notice/invitation etc. has been issued.
5. If the students are found to damage any property of school, fine will be imposed on the students.
6. All students are expected to join the school on the notified date at the beginning of the term.
7. It is compulsory for the student to complete 75% of the attendance in the year to make him/her eligible to appear in the final examination.
8. Once the name is struck off from the roll, re-admission can only be done with due permission of the Principal.
9. Parents must consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars, before making enquiries on the phone.
10. Parents must register their mobile numbers to the school and also inform about the changes (if any) so that SMS containing important messages like attendance, marks, holidays, schedule etc. can be sent to them.
11. Parents are requested to inform the school in writing if there is any change in their address & other details.
12. Students suffering from illness, should not be sent to school to attend tests/classes.
13. Parents are not suppose to enter the classroom in any circumstances and to meet the teachers during the school hours without prior intimation or permission of the concerned authority.
14. The name, admn. no. class, section & house of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of the child e.g. sweaters etc. School will not be responsible for lost materials.
15. The students will not be allowed to pursue the regular schooling provided that the parents frequently avoid to meet the school authorities despite being informed through prior notices.
16. The students who habitually keep indulging in cheating, theft, misbehaviour or misconduct, despite repeated warning and constant efforts by the staff to improve their behaviour, will be expelled even at the time of Final Examination. These types of cases will be judged by a Disciplinary Committee, appointed by the Principal.
17. Parents should ensure that their wards prepare their lessons well and do their homework regularly.
18. Parents must inform the concerned class teacher in written for any case of absenteeism of their wards. In case of emergency only, half day leave will be granted.
19. Students will not be allowed to go for drinking water after every period except for the Short – Break. If in case it is required, the students are requested to bring water bottles to school.
20. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices : Celebrating Birthdays, Party, Rowdiness and Rude Behaviour, Riding on Vehicle in the playground, Bursting of Crackers, Playing Holi in the School Campus, Spoiling Gardens, Lawn, Flowers, Plants etc. They should not use foul language (Unparliamentary language) & misbehave with the conductor or the driver while travelling in the bus. Student will be punished/expelled from the school if found involved, in the above mentioned activities.
21. Parents are expected to show complete faith on system & school specially infront of their wards so that the child does not lose faith in teachers, school & system. This is essential for building strong relationship between the child & school’s staff. They must avoid using fowl language against school’s system.
22. Important messages are communicated well in advance through the students or through remarks of class teachers in their diary or through SMS. Students will be responsible for any misinterpretation of any rule of keeping the parents in the dark about the remarks given by the authority of the School.
23. Students are not allowed to bring Mobile phones in school. If any student is found with a Mobile phone, the phone will be retained by the school for a minimum period of 6 months & on repetition of this, he/she will be expelled from the school.
24. Attendance record of the students will be sent to the parents on all working days through SMS. Parents are requested to avoid the absenteeism of their wards.
25. Students reporting late to school will be returned back home once the gate is closed. No discussion & correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
26. No Half Day Leave will be given to the student during weekly test. In case of emergency if Half Day leave is required parents have to bring ID proof along with written application for authentication.
27. Students will not be permitted to leave the classrooms after every period for using washrooms. Students with some medical problems will be issued special ‘Gate Pass’ after showing medical proof to the school for frequent permission.
28. Students are not allowed to leave class rooms in every period and bunk classes.
29. Students must not call friends / relatives inside the school premises. Only parents are allowed to deal the matters related to students. 
30. Students who don’t have Driving License must not come to school by bikes or scooter. School will not be held responsible for damage or loss caused due to driving of immature students. Students should strictly follow the norms of RTO.
