To be in sync with the paradigm shift ineducation system and to create aculture of scientific innovation into the young minds and ignitefurther the exploring minds of the future pillars of the nation Krishna PublicSchool signed an MOU with NitiAayog to install Atal Tinkering Laboratory in the school.

It’sthe only private school in Chhattisgarh to have been selected for ATL in2016-17 with all the materials and tools required to make the tinkering possible.

ATL lab would teach student sessential 21st-century skills which will help them in develop in gtheir professional and personal skills. Skilled India is the need of the hourand each step taken this dream should be welcomed and we should work towards it together for a better India.

The KPS ATL is fully equipped withthe educational and learn “do it yourself” kits on – Science, Mechanics,Electronics, Robotics, IOT (Internet Of Things) , Prototyping ,Open Source Microcontroller Boards, Sensors And 3D Printers etc.

The KPS ATL fosters curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. The young minds get a chance to work with tools and equipments of ATL to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

This enables tinkering among students with embedded computers – computers that are embedded inside gadgets, everyday objects, instruments, cars, toys etc, to help make such devices perform better. Also the KPS ATL inventory includes mechanical, electrical and electronic components and various types of sensors.Further, it includes fabrication tools including a 3D printer to help put together whatever gadget, invention or prototype the kid in school, may have in mind.

‘Tinkering’ is an interesting way to understand the world and its problems before finding potential solutions.  The children’s instinct and curiosity allow them to tinker with things – pulling them apart to see how they work or putting things together to see what happens.

ATLhelps satiate these curiosities and instincts by providing hands-on skills through the expertise guidance of trained mentors enabling “tinkering” and“inventioneering” resulting in improved knowledge and better understanding of the STEM concepts leading to entrepreneurship in the long run.

There are plethora of reasons for KPS to be an ATL school however the prime objectiveis to create an army of ‘Tech for India’

Within this short span of time of 1 year the students of KPS have shown great achievements through the use of ATL and have engraved their names in IIT Kanpur and Guwahati.
